Aqueduc St-Clément Aqueduc St-Clément was constructed in the 17th century. It facilitated the delivery of water from the Saint Clement spring to a water tower located under the Boardwalk de Peyrou - a distance of 14 kilometres. It also provided the opportunity for the construction of fountains, many of which still exist throughout the city. The last 800 metres feature two levels of arches which serve to support the water channel, and they have provided the city below with the name of les Arceaux. The space below, and the shade offered by the arches make the square ideal for many things, and an market, as well as table tennis and other games, can be found here. Address: . Montpellier FR 34000
