Amphitée Anatomique St-Côme Amphitée Anatomique St-Côme was constructed using money that the King Louis XIV's personal surgeon bequeathed for the building following his death. In addition to being the King's surgeon, François Gigot de La Peyronie was also the founder of the Academy of Surgery.
