Musee Fabre A variety of works covering several different eras are displayed at Mus�e Fabre. The original pieces in the collection were sent to Montpellier in 1803 by Napoleon. Musee d'Anatomie Musee d'Anatomie is located in the oldest medical facility in France, and the conservatory was created in 1794. It contains dissected anatomical organs, rare specimens, and a variety of items that can only be described as monstrosities. A surgical theatre was built in 1806, and visitors can visit this, as well as other areas of this large medical facility. Over 15,000 specimens of animal species are highlighted here, and there are collections of osteological and palaeontological items. One of the main attractions is a mummy, discovered in 1982.
